I was super excited when my wonderful mother treated me with a trip to Bath for a few days to enjoy the thermal waters and explore the area. Whilst being there I fell in love with the city, its Georgian architecture and the wonderful atmosphere.

I stayed at The Gainsborough Bath Spa hotel in the centre of Bath. It was a fantastic location to be since one could walk everywhere and the use of a car was not needed. Over the three days we were there my mother and I walked around almost the whole city which is something I really recommend as there are so many things to see and driving around would make one miss out.
On the first night in Bath I went to an Italian restaurant called Aqua which had great food and was situated in a former church. The decor was fantastic as the original features of the church had been kept with new colours being introduced and murals painted on the walls.
One thing I was excited about was the promise of certain thrift stores and vintage shops in the area and so the next day I was ready to do some exploring and enjoy the spa at the hotel and some of the treatments there.
The breakfast at the hotel was delicious with a wonderful selection of pastries, charcuterie, cheeses, cereals and breads. My favourite part of it was the honeycomb one could spread on the bread, it was delicious.
After having a lovely breakfast and exploring the city it was now time to go to the spa, unwind and relax.
On the arrival to the spa section of the hotel we were given a bag with some flip flops, spa guide and water to keep us hydrated in the sauna and steam rooms. We were also given a consultation about our treatments for the day and what aromatherapy oils we wanted for our massages. Once we were picked we were also given a scent pouch to enjoy when using the different rooms of the spa.

The experience was thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing and I would recommend it to everyone.
On the final day we walked around the whole city past the roman baths and the abbey all the way up to Royal Crescent and the Circus. This was the day I decided to find some vintage shops and thrift stores to find some treasures for my shop...which I did! I should be listing them in the next week so keep your eyes peeled or follow my instagram to keep updated.
After thoroughly exploring the city I highly recommend visiting the places I mention and also visiting Pulteney Bridge and Sydney Gardens. They are really stunning places and I was taken aback by how all of the architecture in Bath is so consistent and beautiful.
I had a wonderful time and cannot wait for the next time I visit the area!
